Already more than a week into March, and the time is galloping away. Talking of galloping, I am really hoping to keep the promise I made myself a few years ago, and get back on a horse this year. My walking friend and I are going to visit a riding stables and go like the wind across those hills beyond the fence! I'll keep you posted.
We set up a display in our local library to advertise the Astronomy group we belong to. I made the hat...and the scarf....that 'Mr Newton' is proudly wearing. My Man painted away his nakedness and we set up everything else around him. Notice My Man's lovely illustration on the poster. He's so clever :~))
The monthly meeting was on Tuesday evening, and everyone was frustrated by the viewing, which had been gloriously clear on Monday, and again last night....but clouded out and wet on Tuesday :~((( However, the committee had prepared indoor doings....a powerpoint slideshow showing what was going on in the sky this month, many different telescopes on show, with questions answered, and a showing of the wonderful astro photos taken by our best photographer. My Man is Chairman, and I volunteer as the welcoming committee, tea maker, and biscuit provider.
Our first meeting was in November last year, with six of us in attendance, so we were really happy that twenty or more turned up on Tuesday :~)))
My Milky Way Man :~)
with his trusty and beloved Tal 1
I love that he's a dreamer ~
Have loved the light coming in to our
living room recently
Several stones are happy to come and live with us for a while.
Some like being together, like these;
others prefer to be alone.
We love having them share our space ~
This is our trusty steed of FUN :~))))
Hope you are all having good days.

The "milky way " gives off a very gentle energy... I've been enjoying the light a lot lately myself. Happy March and full moon!
ReplyDeleteSomehow a word went missing - my comment was SUPPOSE to read - "the milky way MAN" - cause I'm not sure what I think about the milky way giving off a very gentle energy, hmmm, no, don't.
DeleteLaughing here Valerianna :~)))) ...and, yes, gentle and kind.
Delete'She' hid from us last night, but was breathtaking the previous night.
March _is_ happy....I saw a Tulip tree just coming into bloom, a thick carpet of yellow stars and green hearts, (Lesser Celandine), primroses, snowdrops, daffodils, and hyacinths on our bike trip yesterday....had me smiling all the way.
Ive noticed the wild flowers abloom too,so pretty and refreshing to see after the darker winter days and nights.
ReplyDeleteHas Milky Way Man got an older brother by any chance? lol
Aren't they though Lynne :~)
DeleteHa ha...he is the oldest I'm afraid...and his two younger brothers are completely different...from him and each other!! :~))
wonderful, your home and your loved one look lovely....love the stones that have joined you.
ReplyDeleteHey Trish...thank you :~)))
DeleteHelen, I loved this. Mr. Newton is great, wonderful that your group is growing, a good full moon manifestation to celebrate! Wish I could join you and then we could go for a horseback ride. And then we may as well go buy some new jewelry. ;-))
ReplyDeleteThe light IS very beautiful in your living room and I see three, at least, heartish shapes among your stones there. I like that you share space with them for a time.
xo
Oh...it would be sooo good if you could come riding too :~))))....and then buy jewellery...yes!....though I have about three years to go before I'm due that luxury again! here's the lapis necklace I was describing to you ~ among the feather hair accessories I make.
DeleteI think my eyes have tuned in to heart shaped stones...they leap out at me :~)))
Oh, thank you, it's gorgeous and so are the feather pieces! From the heart....xo
Deleteone of the very special things of life is staring up into the night sky... I wish you clear evenings for your group.. I'm sure they realize how lucky they are to have a group with a similar interest like this to get together with.. I would love it. take care xo
ReplyDeleteI'm imagining that the skies where you are, are still very dark, without too much light pollution. We are relatively lucky here, but, sadly, not nearly as dark as when we were growing up deep in the countryside. We still get to see the Milky Way on REALLY clear nights. Wish you could come and join us :~))) x x
Deletesuch wonderful views here...of hills and sky, imaginative mr. newton, strong and beautiful milky way man and stones, and oh, that blue motorcycle...be still my heart.
ReplyDeleteHa ha Cindy....I was like that whenever I heard one roar past me....these days, I think...'ooooo we've got one too' ~ and my heart goes faster for THAT reason :~)))
DeleteI'm a sucker for anything miniature! Love the window display :) How nice to have a group to gaze with and a good back-up plan as well! The hills look gorgeous for a ride. I too want to get back on a horse, but a slow walk will do me fine. MWM does look dreamy! HeeHee
ReplyDeleteI love that still life with guitar. Who plays? I love the rocks, so many wishing rocks...beautiful :)
Thank you for sharing so much wonderfulness.
Thank you so much Nancy :~) It has been twenty years this June/July since I was riding on an everyday basis, and haven't been on one since...so it will have to be a short burst of going like the wind, or I will not be able to walk for a few days! A slow walk will be a lot more sensible :~)))
DeleteBoth MWM and Our Boy play...I love to hear them jamming. That one is a really nice sounding twelve string. Do you play?
Helen,
ReplyDeleteI feel so sad for Jude. I have an idea, for I feel quite helpless, for she does so much for us and I would like to do something for her. So what if we all make a circle of lights for WAS and Jude? I lit a candle and put it on my blog. Perhaps we could all do this. As many people visit your blog will you help me spread the light? (please don't mention my blog, for it's for Jude and WAS)
